Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has declared that President Bola Tinubu remains the most capable leader to steer Nigeria beyond 2027. Speaking during a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Akure, he said Tinubu’s leadership has brought stability and focus to governance.
Aiyedatiwa described Tinubu as a visionary who laid the foundation for many reforms now taking shape across the country. He added that the President’s economic policies, though tough, aim to position Nigeria for long-term growth and development.
“President Tinubu is not just a leader; he’s a reformer with deep experience and bold ideas. Nigeria cannot afford to lose that momentum in 2027,” the governor said. He urged party members to remain united and support the administration’s ongoing efforts.
According to him, some of Tinubu’s difficult decisions, including subsidy removal and exchange rate unification, were necessary to rebuild a struggling economy. He acknowledged the temporary hardship they caused but expressed optimism about future gains.
The governor also used the platform to call for loyalty among APC members, stressing that internal disputes should not derail national progress. He warned against political distractions ahead of the next election cycle.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed Ondo State’s commitment to the success of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He promised that the state would continue aligning its development plans with the federal government’s priorities.
The event drew party leaders, youth representatives, and government officials, many of whom echoed the governor’s position on Tinubu’s 2027 bid.
