The Labour Party has urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite economic hardship and insecurity during the festive season. In a Christmas message, the party encouraged citizens to stay resilient and united in the face of national challenges.
National Chairman, Julius Abure, delivered the message through the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh. He said Nigerians should not let current difficulties dampen their spirit or sense of purpose.
Abure stated that while the country faces hardship, citizens must keep faith in a better future. “We are aware that Nigerians are struggling to survive in this economy, but we urge them not to give up. There is hope,” he said.
He criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for failing to meet citizens’ expectations. According to him, the current administration has not delivered the change it promised. “The government is struggling, and Nigerians are suffering. Prices are high, insecurity is rising, and poverty is widespread,” he noted.
The LP also urged the Federal Government to address insecurity and hunger before things get worse. It called for urgent steps to revive the economy and reduce the cost of living.
Abure encouraged Christians to reflect on Christ’s teachings of love, peace, and sacrifice during the season. He asked them to continue praying for the country.
He said the Labour Party would keep working to offer credible leadership and advocate for policies that benefit ordinary Nigerians.
