A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that the party will win the upcoming governorship election with ease.
Speaking during a meeting with party supporters in Ikire, Oyebamiji, a former Commissioner for Finance in the state, said the APC has gained strength and popularity across Osun. He noted that the current administration’s performance has boosted the party’s chances of reclaiming power.
According to him, residents are dissatisfied with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and are ready to vote it out. “Osun people are wiser now. They’ve seen the difference. APC will not struggle to win this time,” he said.
He urged party members to remain united and avoid internal disputes that could weaken their chances. Oyebamiji also called on APC leaders to prioritize grassroots mobilization and ensure all eligible voters are engaged and encouraged to vote.
He added that the opposition has failed to deliver on key promises, especially in areas like education, healthcare, and infrastructure. “Our people are disappointed. They now know APC offers better governance,” he said.
Oyebamiji promised to support any candidate the party fields and urged others to do the same. He said the 2026 poll would be a turning point for the party and the state.
The APC chieftain concluded by calling for issue-based campaigns, urging all parties to focus on policies and not personal attacks.
