A political pressure group, Kaura Good for Job, has urged voters in Bauchi State to prioritise integrity and courage when choosing their leaders. The group made this appeal during a solidarity gathering held in support of Governor Bala Mohammed on Sunday in Bauchi.
The group’s chairman, Yakubu Babayo, praised Governor Mohammed for his steadfastness and decision not to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress. Babayo highlighted the governor’s commitment to peace and democracy, noting his efforts in creating job opportunities to tackle insecurity in the region.
Babayo also condemned the alleged misuse of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to intimidate prominent individuals, especially during times of national security challenges. He called on well-meaning Nigerians to commend Governor Mohammed for his contributions to peace in Bauchi State and the North-East, as well as his role in strengthening democracy in the country.
The group emphasised the importance of voting for leaders who demonstrate integrity and a genuine commitment to public service. They urged the electorate to look beyond party affiliations and focus on the character and track record of candidates.
Kaura Good for Job plans to continue its advocacy for responsible leadership and voter education ahead of future elections. The group believes that by making informed electoral choices, citizens can contribute to the development and stability of their communities and the nation at large.
