The Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) on Thursday reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring decent wages and creating more jobs for Nigerian workers, its president, Olusegun Oyerinde, said.
Speaking at a labor and employment summit in Abuja, Oyerinde said NECA is working with government, labor unions, and the private sector to improve working conditions and expand employment opportunities across the country.
“We are focused on promoting fair wages and sustainable employment for all Nigerian workers,” Oyerinde said. “Our goal is to create an environment where businesses thrive while workers benefit from decent compensation and job security.”
Oyerinde also emphasized the need for continuous dialogue between employers and employees to reduce industrial disputes and strengthen the nation’s economy.
Nigeria faces ongoing challenges with unemployment and underemployment, making initiatives that boost wages and job creation critical for social stability and economic growth.
