KANO, Nigeria — Kano State Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf has commended the Nigeria Police Force for the arrest of suspects linked to the killing of a woman and her children in the state.
In a statement on Tuesday, the governor described the arrests as a major step toward justice for the victims and their family, praising security operatives for what he called their swift and professional response to the crime.
Yusuf said the state government would work closely with the police to ensure the suspects are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in line with the law. He also urged residents to remain calm and continue to cooperate with security agencies.
Police had earlier announced the arrest of the suspects following investigations into the killings, which had sparked outrage and renewed concerns over violent crime in the state.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security and protecting lives and property across Kano State.
