The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a political support group for Bola Tinubu, has been directed by the president to distribute rice across Nigeria to support citizens observing Ramadan and the Lenten season.
The directive was disclosed Saturday by the Director-General of the group and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, in a statement.
Uzodinma said the initiative is intended to strengthen national unity and demonstrate compassion during a period of deep spiritual significance for both Muslims and Christians.
According to the statement, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will coordinate the distribution through its nationwide grassroots network to ensure families across the country benefit during the fasting season.
He said the effort reflects the president’s commitment to unity and support for citizens during important religious observances.
The statement added that a similar initiative was carried out during the Christmas season, when rice was distributed to assist Nigerians during the festivities.
The distribution will cover both Muslim and Christian communities, underscoring the administration’s focus on inclusivity and national unity.
