Nigeria Needs God, Not Guns Alone — NCCC

The Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps has called for spiritual intervention to complement military efforts in addressing the country’s security challenges.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Corps Commanding Officer, Daniel Joe Alimi, said Nigeria’s transformation requires both political action and spiritual commitment.

“Nigeria’s transformation is not just a political process — it is a spiritual responsibility,” Alimi said. “When we align our hearts with God and our actions with purpose, national restoration becomes inevitable. Nigeria is a sovereign nation under God, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

The statement highlighted Alimi’s role in promoting spiritual reawakening, noting his belief that the country can overcome its challenges through a blend of moral renewal and strategic leadership.

It described Alimi as a voice at the intersection of faith, patriotism and national service, emphasizing his efforts to promote unity, moral discipline and inter-agency collaboration across the country.
