President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to remain committed to the nation’s progress despite criticism, challenges and differing views on governance.
Tinubu said constructive criticism is essential to leadership and national development, noting that accountability and public scrutiny are vital components of a democratic society.
He warned, however, that criticism should not lead to despair or diminish confidence in Nigeria’s future.
According to the president, citizens have the right to question government actions, challenge policies and demand improved performance, while continuing to believe in the possibility of a stronger, more united and prosperous nation.
Tinubu said nation-building requires a collective effort from both leaders and citizens, emphasizing that progress often comes through difficult decisions, disagreements and reforms that may not be immediately popular.
He also called for resilience, urging Nigerians not to be discouraged by current challenges but to remain engaged and optimistic about the country’s future.
