Foundation equips women to build sustainable businesses

The Love For Change Women Foundation recently concluded its inaugural EmpowerHER Entrepreneurship workshop in Lagos, offering young women practical tools to grow sustainable and legacy-driven businesses.

Targeting women aged 20 to 40, the one-day intensive training was themed “From Hustle to Legacy: Building a Business That Outlives You.” It focused on strengthening small businesses, improving financial planning, and promoting long-term sustainability.

Keynote speaker and global education expert Olamitoyosi Babatunde urged participants to move beyond daily survival and focus on lasting financial impact. She broke down the three pillars of financial legacy: making, keeping, and growing money, encouraging attendees to build with future generations in mind.

Facilitator Inyene Hadassah, a specialist in capacity development, led an interactive session on emotional intelligence in business. She emphasized managing client relationships, stress, and leading with empathy as essential tools for business longevity.

Foundation founder Modupeola Bello Olukoya said the event aligns with the organisation’s mission to create access to knowledge and economic opportunities for underserved women. “We want young women to run structured businesses and become financially independent. This isn’t just a workshop—it’s a movement,” she said.

The workshop followed an eight-week EmpowerHER Bootcamp, a virtual program on digital entrepreneurship and marketing. Selected participants also received business grants, in partnership with Visionary Leaders Global Network.

Olukoya thanked supporters and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to helping women build sustainable businesses and lasting legacies.
