2027: I’m Better Prepared to Lead Nigeria — Peter Obi

Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi, has declared that he is now more prepared to lead Nigeria than ever before. Speaking during a recent interview, Obi said his experience from the last election and the current state of the country have deepened his understanding of Nigeria’s challenges.

Obi explained that the past few years have exposed Nigeria’s weaknesses in governance, economy, and security. He said the lessons he learned during his campaign and his interactions with citizens across the country have helped him develop clearer strategies for addressing the nation’s problems.

He stressed that Nigeria needs a leader who understands the urgency of reform, adding that his private and public service background gives him an edge. “I am not just ready. I am better prepared now. I have seen the system inside out. I know where the blocks are and how to fix them,” he said.

Obi called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and united, stressing that the country can still overcome its challenges if the right leadership emerges. He also criticized the rising cost of living and worsening insecurity, saying they are signs of leadership failure.

Looking ahead to 2027, Obi said his focus remains on building a better Nigeria based on transparency, accountability, and inclusive growth. He urged citizens to demand more from leaders and participate actively in the democratic process.
