Adeleke Secures Accord Party Ticket, Vows to Deepen Development in Osun

Senator Ademola Adeleke has officially secured the gubernatorial ticket of the Accord Party ahead of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, expressing strong confidence in his chances of securing a second term in office.

The development comes amid speculation about internal disputes within his former party. Adeleke, who previously contested under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made a surprise move to the Accord Party, citing the need for a platform that aligns better with his vision for Osun’s continued progress and unity.

During the party’s primary election held in Osogbo, Adeleke emerged as the consensus candidate after delegates unanimously endorsed him. Speaking after receiving the party’s flag, he thanked his supporters and promised to build on his achievements in office, particularly in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and job creation.

“I am grateful to the people of Osun for their enduring faith in my leadership. My commitment to transforming the state remains unwavering, and I believe the Accord Party offers the structure and values we need to sustain progress,” Adeleke stated.

Party leaders described Adeleke’s candidacy as a major boost to their chances in the upcoming poll, hailing his popularity and record as key strengths. They urged all members to rally behind him for victory.

With his campaign set to kick off in the coming weeks, Senator Adeleke has assured residents that his administration’s second term, if elected, will prioritize inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and economic growth.
