Christ Embassy Church Empowers Families with Grinding Machines

Christ Embassy Significant Church has distributed grinding machines, cash gifts and Bibles to vulnerable families in Ajayi Farm, Ikeja, Lagos, as part of its community outreach program.

The initiative was announced by Pastor Chiamaka Kupoluyi during a thanksgiving service and Ladies Convention held on Sunday at the church premises in Lagos.

Kupoluyi said the gesture was part of her commitment to prioritize social welfare and would now be made an annual initiative tied to her birthday celebration.

She said 94 Bibles were also distributed to residents of the community, alongside recognition awards presented to individuals and youth groups for their contributions to church activities and community development.

“Instead of giving a person fish, it’s better to give the person something they can use to get fish,” she said, explaining the decision to empower families with grinding machines to help them earn income.

She added that beneficiaries were selected from vulnerable households, while others received cash support to boost existing businesses.

Kupoluyi credited her philanthropic outlook to her family upbringing and urged residents of the community to remain diligent and consistent in their efforts.

Her husband, Pastor Omotola Kupoluyi, said churches should focus not only on spiritual needs but also on the welfare and economic empowerment of congregants.

He said Jesus’ ministry combined teaching and practical support, adding that churches must play a role in improving livelihoods amid current economic challenges.

A beneficiary, Mrs. Patience Emmanuel, thanked the church for the support, saying the grinding machine would provide a stable source of income for her family.

She called on government, religious groups and corporate organizations to emulate the church’s example in supporting vulnerable people.

The event also featured tributes and goodwill messages from church members, friends and community residents in celebration of Pastor Kupoluyi’s birthday.
