The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is battling a fire outbreak at the Bono Energy Terminal in the Coconut area of Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
The agency’s spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, confirmed the incident in a brief statement on Friday.
“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow,” Amodu said.
The cause of the fire had not been determined as of the time of filing this report.
Emergency responders remained at the scene, while further details on the extent of the damage or possible casualties were not immediately available.
