A Lagos father has appealed for answers after his nine-month-old identical twin sons reportedly died about 24 hours after receiving injections at a primary health care center in the state.
The father, Samuel Alozie, who is known as Promise Samuel on TikTok, said the twins, Testimony and Timothy, were taken for routine immunization on the morning of Dec. 24, 2025.
The deaths drew widespread attention on Wednesday after Alozie posted a video on TikTok showing the bodies of the infants in separate body bags.
In a follow-up video on Thursday, Alozie said the babies became extremely weak shortly after the injections and were unable to eat, play or behave normally. He said a nurse advised him to administer paracetamol if their temperature rose.
According to Alozie, he and his wife gave the medication as directed and also bathed the children in an effort to reduce the fever, but their condition did not improve. The twins reportedly died simultaneously on the morning of Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
“They were very weak after the injection,” Alozie said. “They couldn’t eat, they couldn’t play, they couldn’t even disturb like they used to. On the morning of the 25th, both of them died at the same time.”
Health authorities in Lagos had not publicly commented on the incident as of Thursday.
