Mohammed Urges Nigerians to Embrace Unity, Support Inclusive Governance

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity and support inclusive leadership as the country marks Christmas. In a statement on Monday, the minister noted that the season offers a chance for reflection, love, and collective commitment to building a stronger nation.

He encouraged citizens to show compassion to one another, regardless of religious or ethnic background. According to him, the message of Christmas — peace, hope, and goodwill — remains crucial in navigating Nigeria’s challenges.

Mohammed emphasized the need for all Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He said the government remains focused on delivering reforms aimed at improving the economy, creating jobs, and securing the nation.

The minister added that inclusive leadership requires collaboration from every part of society. “We must build bridges, not walls. Our diversity is our strength, and we must work together to harness it for development,” he said.

He also called on religious and community leaders to use their platforms to promote harmony and discourage division. Mohammed reaffirmed the government’s commitment to upholding freedom of religion, expression, and peaceful coexistence.

He wished all Nigerians a joyful and safe Christmas celebration and urged them to remain hopeful for a better 2026. The statement ended with a reminder that unity, understanding, and shared responsibility will help the nation overcome its obstacles and achieve lasting progress.
