Nigerians Need Solutions, Not Excuses — Peter Obi Blasts Tinubu

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has again criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging his administration to focus on addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges rather than offering excuses.

Obi said Nigerians were becoming increasingly frustrated by the hardship in the country and expected urgent action from the Federal Government instead of repeated explanations.

According to him, many Nigerians are grappling with rising food prices, inflation, unemployment and insecurity, while families continue to struggle under current economic conditions.

The former Anambra State governor said effective leadership should translate into measurable improvements in the lives of ordinary citizens, stressing that governance requires accountability, compassion and practical results.

He said the administration should prioritise rebuilding public trust, stabilising the economy and improving security nationwide instead of defending its policies.

Obi also said Nigerians were closely watching how political leaders respond to the country’s challenges as discussions ahead of the 2027 elections gain momentum.

His remarks have sparked reactions on social media and within political circles, with supporters describing the comments as a reflection of public frustration, while critics accused him of politicising national issues.
